Mark Hume McCormack (November 6, 1930 – May 16, 2003) was an American lawyer, sports agent and writer. He was the founder and chairman of International Management Group, now IMG, an international management organization serving sports figures and celebrities.
Business career
After his Army discharge, McCormack worked as an attorney at the Cleveland law firm, Arter & Hadden. In the 1950s he helped organize one-day golf exhibitions for professionals around the United States. In 1960, McCormack founded IMG.[1]
McCormack wrote several books, including The Terrible Truth About Lawyers and What They Don't Teach You a Scottish footballer (born 1979) Mark McCormick (born 11 July 1979) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Berwick Rangers and Livingston. McCormick started his career with East of Scotland Football League side Harthill Royal before earning a move to then Scottish Football League Second Division side Livingston in 1998. He scored on his league debut for Livi in a 1–1 draw against Stirling Albion.[1] He signed for Ross County in 2001 and made 37 appearances for the Staggies before leaving for Berwick Rangers in 2002.[2] His last game for the Wee Gers would also be his last professional game in Scotland. He signed off with an assist in a 1–1 draw against Airdrieonians.[3] The midfielder had spells playing in USA with NYU Violets and Austria with DSG Vienna Internationals, USC Pilgersdorf and SV Schwechat before retiring in 2014.[4] McCormick moved into coaching and was appointed as FK Austria Wien U15 assistant m Dr. Marcus "Mark" Aurelius McCormick is a fictional character from the American soap opera Santa Barbara, portrayed by American actor Jon Lindstrom from November 14, 1985 to July 30, 1986.
