Wanda Dixon Davis Turner, age 82, of Morning View, died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Wilmington Baptist Church in Morning View, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Kitchen Committee member, a Vacation Bible School assistant, and helped with other ministries. She was preceded in death by husbands, Thomas Davis and Thurman Turner; son, Michael Davis; daughter, Mary Evelyn Davis; and grandson, Eric Davis. Survivors include her sons, Gerald Lee Davis, John Charles Davis, and Stanley Roger Davis; daughter, Jodi Spegal; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Wilmingt
