Robert C. (Skip) Carey
Robert C. (Skip) Carey, 79, of Forty Fort, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at WB General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kingston, on June 11, 1942, he was the son of Edward and Mary Bush Carey. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Skip was employed by Geisinger as a Dietary Supervisor and as a Driver for Forty Fort Fire Department. He was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church.
Skip married the love of his life, the former Coral Glaush. They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 15th. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Skip was honored with a lifetime membership in both the Shavertown and Forty Fort Fire Departments. He served with Kingston/Forty Fort Fire Department, most recently as a Lieutenant of its Fire Police, usually always arriving first on the scene. He was a lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins football team, frequently attending games with his kids and grandkids. His passion for sports defined his

Harry Christopher "Skip" Caray Jr. (August 12, 1939 – August 3, 2008) was an American sportscaster, best known for his long career as a radio and television play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He was the son of baseball announcer Harry Caray, and the father of St. Louis Cardinals play-by-play announcer and former fellow Braves broadcaster Chip Caray; another son, Josh Caray, is the play-by-play announcer for the minor league Rocket City Trash Pandas.[1]

Harry Christopher Caray (né Carabina; March 1, 1914 – February 18, 1998) was an American radio and television sportscaster. During his career he called the play-by-play for five Major League Baseball teams, beginning with 25 years of calling the games of the St. Louis Cardinals (with two of those years also spent calling games for the St. Louis Browns). After a year working for the Oakland Athletics and 11 years with the Chicago White Sox, Caray spent the last 16 years of his career as the announcer for the Chicago Cubs.[1]
