The story of Eko

Musically, Eko Roosevelt is known as a trend-setter and an icon. His legendary music is just as hot today as it was in the 1970’s.

Eko Roosevelt released his first album Nalandi in 1975. People love it and Eko loves composing and performing. He creates his own label « Eko Music » and releases 9 full albums between 1976 and 1981. At the Ivorian television’s request, Eko Roosevelt creates an orchestra and in 1979 he becomes the director of the National Orchestra of Cameroon. Eko Roosevelt is now an internationally respected artist and he performs across Africa and Europe with great success.

But the nice life in the entertainment industry doesn’t provide him with the deeper meaning and satisfaction he needs. His legacy is calling and he returns to his home-country Cameroon and his natal village. There, Eko Roosevelt is installed as the King and traditional leader of the coastal town in la Lobé - a paradise on earth with untouched white beaches surrounded by pure nature.
