Apinat biography

APINAT™ BIO Biodegradable TPC Compounds conform to the EN 13432 standard and they are the only soft biodegradable bioplastics available on the market with an international patent. These compounds include soft and rigid grades, and we additionally offer special food contact approved grades with the “Ok Compost” certification of compostability.

APINAT™ BIO were the first biodegradable compounds that we developed following our Bio & Beyond strategy. Our aim was, and remains, to reproduce our current soft-touch products in bio-based and biodegradable versions.

The main technical characteristics of APINAT™ BIO Biodegradable TPC Compounds are:

  Apinat Bio 2 mm Agricultural Biodegradable Tube of 100 m

  The 100-metre biodegradable agricultural tube on sale on Polsinelli store is made of non-toxic Apinat Bio, a material with antifreeze properties that guarantees long resistance on the plant and natural biodegradability in contact with the soil. Suitable for use in agriculture, the biodegradable tube has a weight of 300 grams and a wire with a diameter of 2 mm. The material used for the reel guarantees excellent elasticity and resistance to tension, perfect for following the growth of plants without the risk of damaging branches, and it can also be used normally in humid and/or watery environments without degradation. The 100 m biodegradable agricultural tube ensures a product that is easy to tie and long-lasting, patented, tested and certified to guarantee less frequent tying.
