PRESS RELEASE: Gilby Glarke to join Alice Cooper for recently announced January-February concerts.

Alice Cooper has announced that guitarist Gilby Clarke will be joining his band for shows January 31-February 16, filling in for Nita Strauss, who unfortunately has conflicting obligations of her own. Previously, guitarist Orianthi had been planning to fill in for Strauss, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she’s unable to do the tour.

Clarke, best-known for his years with Guns N Roses, has had a long and successful career working with a wide variety of artists, including Nikki Sixx, Slash, Nancy Sinatra, Tommy Lee, Slim Jim Phantom, and MC5, as well as releasing several solo albums.

Gilbert J. Clarke (born August 17, 1962) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is known for having a three-year tenure as the rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses, replacing Izzy Stradlin in 1991 during the Use Your Illusion Tour, and also featured on "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993). Following this, Clarke went on to forge a solo career as well playing guitar with Slash's Snakepit, Kat Men, Heart, Nancy Sinatra, Kathy Valentine (of The Go-Go's), MC5 and forming his own group Rock Star Supernova with members of Metallica and Mötley Crüe.

Clarke's production work includes albums by L.A. Guns, Bullets and Octane, The Bronx and Vains of Jenna.
